About this site This site has been created to provide information, history and to share memories of Bragar, the Whalebone Arch and the surrounding area. The Whalebone Arch has been restored in recent years after many decades of wind and rain taking their toll. As one of the great landmarks of the Island of Lewis, it does require continual care and maintenance. Any profit from the revenues that this site generates will be ploughed into helping pay for the maintenance of the whalebone arch.
